Welspun Living Partners with NSDC to Empower Textile Workforce
Welspun Living Ltd has partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation to launch a training initiative for the textile sector, focusing on operator-level roles. The program aims to train 1,000 candidates with a significant portion being women from underrepresented regions, backed by an investment of Rs 4.25 crore.

Welspun Living Ltd announced a landmark agreement with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) on Thursday to initiate a large-scale skilling and employment drive. This initiative aims to train 1,000 candidates for operator-level roles in the textile industry, with a special emphasis on women from underrepresented regions.
The program, backed by a Rs 4.25 crore investment, aims to have at least 50 percent female participation, particularly targeting regions like the North-Eastern states and Uttarakhand. The training will be held at Welspun's facilities in Anjar and Vapi, Gujarat, blending classroom instruction with practical, on-the-job training.
Upon completion, trainees will receive joint certifications from NSDC and Welspun, along with guaranteed employment within Welspun's textile operations. Dipali Goenka, MD and CEO of Welspun Living, expressed the company's dedication to creating pathways to economic independence and transformation for its workforce.
