In a tragic accident on Thursday morning, two individuals lost their lives and six more were injured on the Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra's Thane district. The collision occurred between a car and a truck near Vashind in Shahapur taluka, a high-speed section connecting Mumbai and Nagpur.
The victims were a family from Parbhani district traveling to Dadar, Mumbai, for a matrimonial alliance. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Authorities have not yet provided specific details on what caused the fatal accident. Investigations are ongoing as the local police assess the circumstances surrounding the incident.
