The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is actively collaborating with Senegalese authorities to implement corrective measures following instances of misreporting on the country's debt and fiscal deficits. This was announced by IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack during a regular briefing on Thursday.
Kozack highlighted the IMF's approval of the new Senegalese government's commitment to transparency in disclosing inaccuracies in the financial reports. She noted the importance of this transparency in building trust and accountability.
Furthermore, Kozack mentioned that the IMF is close to finalizing its audit concerning the reported discrepancies, signaling a step forward in ensuring accurate financial data from Senegal.
