Mother Dairy has unveiled a substantial price cut across its various dairy and processed food products, effective from September 22, after the GST Council's revisions. The move is aimed at transferring GST reduction benefits directly to consumers.

The company's range, including the Safal brand products, now either falls under exempted or the lower 5 per cent GST category. Notably, products such as UHT milk and paneer will no longer be taxed, significantly reducing consumer costs.

Manish Bandlish, Managing Director of Mother Dairy, remarked that these changes align with broader GST reforms and are expected to enhance consumption, providing farmers with greater market demand and benefiting consumers with more affordable choices.
