According to a regulatory filing, these vessels will be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and have a capacity of approximately 1,700 twenty-foot equivalent units. The shift towards LNG power reflects growing environmental consciousness in maritime operations.

CSL confirmed that a letter of intent (LOI) regarding this order was signed on October 14, 2025, with further details to be formalized in a detailed shipbuilding contract soon.
