Telangana's Ambitious Leap: Rs 1 Lakh Crore Investment Target in Life Sciences by 2030

Telangana has set a formidable target of attracting Rs 1 lakh crore in new investments within the Life Sciences sector by 2030, according to D Sridhar Babu, the state's Minister for IT and Industries.
Speaking at the AusBiotech International Conference 2025 in Melbourne, Babu announced the 'Roadmap 2030', positioning Telangana as a Global Life Sciences Hub. He highlighted the state's plans to introduce a Comprehensive Life Sciences Policy to foster global partnerships and accelerate innovation.
With a GSDP growth of 8.2% in 2024-25, surpassing the national average, Telangana is emphasizing skill development and international collaborations. Babu encouraged Australian companies to invest in high-growth areas like Cell and Gene Therapy, Biosimilars, and AI-based Drug Discovery.
