Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, on Tuesday, elaborated on the state's swift economic growth at the Pravasi Rajasthani Divas Kolkata roadshow. He extended an invitation to the global Rajasthani diaspora to invest under the 'Karmabhoomi to Janmabhoomi' initiative, urging them to contribute to the state's industrial landscape.
Sharma highlighted Rajasthan's emergence as an industrial powerhouse, propelled by strategic policies and infrastructure improvements, such as addressing water and power shortages. The state's initiatives in renewable energy and textiles have positioned it as a leader, while new policies aim to further enhance ease of business.
Key industrialists from Kolkata, including Shashwat Goenka and Umesh Chowdhary, supported the invitation. The upcoming Pravasi Rajasthani Divas in Jaipur is set to strengthen ties. With upcoming projects like the HPCL Refinery and Rajasthan Petro Zone, along with 22 new policies, Rajasthan is primed for expansive growth. The government also prioritizes tourism and mining, seeking to attract more investment with revised policies.
