Electric Vehicles Surge Ahead: Tata Motors Leads the EV Revolution
Electric passenger vehicle sales soared 57% in October to 18,055 units, with Tata Motors at the forefront. The electric three-wheeler segment also saw growth, while commercial electric vehicle sales more than doubled. The two-wheeler segment increased by 3% with Bajaj Auto leading the charge.

In a significant leap for the electric vehicle sector, retail sales of electric passenger vehicles climbed by 57% in October, reaching 18,055 units, according to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). Tata Motors maintained its dominance in this booming segment.
As the previous year's October sales stood at 11,464 units, Tata Motors reported sales of 7,239 vehicles. MG Motor India registered sales of 4,549 units, a 63% increase from last October. Mahindra & Mahindra took third place with 3,911 units sold compared to 955 last year.
The rise extended to two-wheelers, with 1,43,887 units sold, up 3% from 1,40,225 in October 2024. Bajaj Auto led, followed by TVS Motor Company. Electric three-wheelers saw a 5% increase, while commercial electric vehicles more than doubled their sales to 1,767 units.
