Chandigarh Railway Station is undergoing a swift transformation into a world-class facility, according to Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who inspected the ongoing work.
The redevelopment project, which costs Rs 462 crore, includes innovative elements such as a modular design and prefabricated components, aiming to enhance passenger facilities.
The initiative is part of the nationwide Amrit Bharat scheme, targeting the improvement of 1,300 stations, many of which have been successfully modernized. This project will turn Chandigarh into a key gateway for travelers to Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
