Aviation safety is in focus as major airlines like IndiGo, Air India, and Air India Express brace for potential flight disruptions. The airlines are responding to a serious issue involving their A320 family planes. According to sources, the problem is connected to intense solar radiation corrupting crucial flight control data.
Airbus has identified a large number of affected aircraft, necessitating software changes or hardware realignments. With approximately 200-250 planes potentially needing adjustments, grounded aircraft could lead to delays in India's airline industry. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has mandated immediate action to install a serviceable ELAC in impacted aircraft.
While airlines like IndiGo and Air India Express are taking precautionary measures, such as software fixes, to minimize disruption, passengers may still experience delays. Airlines assure customers that safety remains the priority and express their apologies for any resulting inconvenience.
