Bomb Threats Disrupt U.S. Airports Briefly, Operations Resume Safely
Flights at Philadelphia International Airport were temporarily grounded due to a bomb threat, which was later resolved without incident. Similar threats were also reported and cleared at other U.S. airports. Operations have since resumed safely, with law enforcement ensuring security measures were followed.
Flights to Philadelphia International Airport faced a brief suspension on Friday evening following a bomb threat, as reported by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and local police authorities.
The FAA issued a ground stop at around 7 p.m. local time due to the threat, which required police presence aboard a plane. The situation was resolved within approximately 30 minutes, allowing the airport to resume normal operations.
This incident follows a pattern of similar threats earlier this month, including those at Reagan Washington National Airport and LaGuardia International Airport, where bomb threats were reported and subsequently cleared without incident.
