In a significant update for India's aviation sector, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed on Sunday that Indian carriers have finalized the crucial software upgrades on 323 operational A320 family aircraft. These upgrades aim to address potential flight control issues flagged by Airbus.

This development follows an alert from Airbus on Friday, warning that intense solar radiation could compromise flight control data on A320 aircraft. The company emphasized that necessary software modifications might temporarily disrupt operations.

The A320 aircraft of three major Indian airlines—IndiGo, Air India, and Air India Express—were identified for immediate software updates. IndiGo has completed modifications across its fleet of 200 operational aircraft, while Air India and Air India Express have similarly addressed necessary upgrades.
