Electric vehicle manufacturer Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) announced ambitions to deploy 1,500 units of its autonomous three-wheeler, Swayamgati, in cargo and passenger variants over the next 24 months. This move aims to bolster their leadership in the emerging autonomous electric vehicle sector.
The company has launched the commercial version of the cargo vehicle, priced at Rs 4.15 lakh, and opened bookings on Monday. Deliveries are slated to commence from December, marking a breakthrough in self-driving technology for logistics and industrial mobility, making autonomous operations both scalable and accessible.
With the Swayamgati Cargo, Omega Seiki Mobility becomes the first Indian manufacturer to provide a production-ready autonomous solution designed for industrial use. This development underscores India's potential in autonomous technology, promising enhanced safety, cost efficiency, and seamless operations in industrial parks, airports, and logistic hubs.
