The airport clarified that the technical glitch was specific to its operations and unrelated to the widespread internet service disruption caused by Cloudflare.

In a public statement, officials from Edinburgh Airport expressed gratitude to passengers for their patience. The airport, recognized as Scotland's busiest with 15.7 million passengers in 2024, is also ranked as the sixth busiest in the United Kingdom.
