Union Home Minister Amit Shah has unveiled an ambitious cooperative initiative with the launch of the Sahakar Taxi service, expected to soon become the country's largest cooperative-based taxi company.

Speaking at the Earth Summit held at Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre, Shah announced that around 51,000 drivers have already signed up since the service's trial launch in Delhi.

Backed by significant cooperative entities, such as Amul and NABARD, the new platform assures that drivers will receive full earnings, promoting an equitable profit-sharing model.
