In light of the recent disruptions in Indigo airline services, the Railway Ministry has announced the addition of 116 coaches to 37 premium trains. This decision is aimed at ensuring the convenience of travelers.
These trains, originating from major stations such as New Delhi, Mumbai, and others, will provide enhanced connectivity, officials reported. The adjustments will begin with upcoming train services and persist as long as needed.
Earlier, Northern Railway augmented 3AC and Chair Car coaches in four premium trains due to increased demand. Railway officials are monitoring the situation and are prepared to introduce special fully air-conditioned trains if necessary.
