In a tragic incident on the Ayodhya-Prayagraj highway, a bus carrying pilgrims collided with a truck on Saturday morning. The collision resulted in the death of one woman and injuries to several others. The bus was returning from the Ram temple in Ayodhya and headed towards Prayagraj.
The bus, which had around 40 passengers from Jalgaon district, Maharashtra, collided with a speeding truck at the Kurebhar intersection. The impact was so severe that both vehicles overturned, trapping many passengers inside.
Local residents rushed to the scene, aiding in rescue efforts and helping injured passengers. Approximately 15 pilgrims sustained injuries and were taken to Kurebhar Community Health Centre. Among the injured was Varsha Kiran Patil, a Pune resident, who later died. The police have initiated a rescue operation and are securing the accident site.
