In a heated protest on Tuesday, the Karnataka Drivers' Union expressed strong discontent over the latest pick-up location changes at Kempegowda International Airport. Led by union founder and state president G Narayanaswamy, the protest unfolded near the Sadahalli Gate toll plaza.

Authorities responded with a mild lathi charge as the demonstrators, protesting the revised pick-up arrangements, attempted to block taxi entry to the airport. The union contends that the changes have intensified congestion and complicate operations, adding financial strain due to parking fees.

Responding to the outcry, Bengaluru International Airport Limited assured that the changes aim to enhance safety and efficiency amid rising passenger volumes. New regulations offer eight minutes of free zone usage for private vehicles, with escalating charges for overstays.
