The Delhi Aerocity metro station is on track to become a significant interchange hub in the Delhi Metro network. Officials have confirmed provisions for an interchange to the NCRTC's proposed Alwar corridor.
Expansion plans for the Aerocity station include improved connectivity to the Tughlakabad-Aerocity Golden Line corridor, part of the Delhi Metro project Phase 4. This includes an approved extension from Aerocity to the Terminal 1 IGI Airport station, covering 2.263 km.
In the future, the station may provide a triple interchange facility as NCRTC plans include an interchange facility at Aerocity. This development will significantly boost access to south Delhi regions connected by the Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor, providing direct connections to IGI Airport Terminal 1.
