The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) convened a high-level meeting with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to discuss establishing a Japanese MSME park close to Noida Airport. The deliberations aimed to position the Yamuna Expressway area as a prime destination for Japanese manufacturing enterprises, including SMEs.

YEIDA's Chief Executive Officer, R K Singh, highlighted the strategic advantages of the region, such as multi-modal connectivity bolstered by the upcoming Noida International Airport, and its proximity to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. The availability of developed industrial land and a single-window clearance mechanism were emphasized to facilitate Japanese investment.

JETRO India Chief Director General Suzuki Takashi and other officials expressed strong interest in the proposal. The discussions also included the possibility of signing an MoU to strengthen collaboration between the Uttar Pradesh government and Japanese investors, focusing on long-term engagement and sector-specific opportunities.
