The Karnataka government recently made a prominent appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, actively engaging with global companies to explore investment prospects across various sectors. Key discussions centered around data centers, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and manufacturing, with officials assuring companies of policy consistency and full facilitation.
Among the notable players was Bharti Enterprises, which has invested Rs 13,000 crore in Karnataka, expressing interest in establishing a data center in the state. Talks included topics like land availability, water supply, and infrastructure needs, with state officials promising robust support for the initiative.
The conglomerate Bharat Forge Ltd explored alignment with Karnataka's industrial ecosystem, focusing on utilizing its forging and precision engineering expertise. Meanwhile, PayPal highlighted its interest in AI-led innovation, reskilling initiatives, and startup funding, with the state offering extensive support for further expansion.
