In a landmark development, India and the European Union have concluded a historic Free Trade Agreement (FTA) at the 16th India-EU Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined European Commission and European Council Presidents to announce the deal, marking a new chapter in bilateral economic engagement.

The FTA promises to augment trade in goods and services, with India securing access to over 99% of its exports to the EU. This strategic accord supports the 'Make in India' initiative, ushering in market opportunities, job creation, and expanded competitiveness globally.
