The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced revisions to its luggage charges, which will take effect on February 16. The changes come as a response to increased expenses, including diesel and staff costs.
According to KSRTC officials, luggage fees have been adjusted after remaining unchanged despite the bus fare hike in January 2025. The last revision occurred in December 2021, with charges now increased by around 15 percent, reflecting last year's fare increase.
Luggage up to 30 kg remains free, while fees apply beyond that weight. The revised charges are set according to travel stages, with rates starting from Rs 6 for stages 1-5 and reaching up to Rs 145 for stages 156 to 160.
