Ukraine's foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, announced on Friday the release of seven Ukrainian nationals from detention in Budapest. This development marks a significant diplomatic success for Kyiv.

Sybiha shared in a post on X that the individuals have safely returned, crossing the border into Ukraine, bringing relief and resolution to the situation.

Earlier that day, Ukraine's foreign ministry had taken diplomatic action by summoning Hungary's acting chargé d'affaires in Kyiv to address the detentions, reflecting the seriousness of the incident.
