A probe has been initiated following an incident where an unidentified individual threw a stone at a Vande Bharat Express train in Aluva, officials reported on Sunday.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) stated that the event transpired at around 7:15 pm on Saturday, in the stretch between Aluva and Angamaly stations. The targeted train was traveling the route between Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru.
No passengers suffered injuries, and the train incurred only minor damage, according to officials. Investigation efforts include reviewing CCTV footage from the train and taking statements from locals near the incident site. A separate probe is also underway by the Railway Police. Last month saw a similar attack in Kannur, leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
