Odisha's Rail Link Boost: New Amrit Bharat Trains

The newly approved Amrit Bharat trains are set to enhance connectivity across Odisha, with services linking Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand. The newly introduced Amrit Bharat trains are anticipated to significantly advance railway connectivity throughout Odisha. Approved routes between Podanur in Tamil Nadu and Dhanbad in Jharkhand aim to boost the region's transport infrastructure, announced Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday.

The East Coast Railway detailed additional benefits from the Kamakhya to Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, stressing improved access for residents in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. These developments mark a significant commitment by the central government to enhance rail infrastructure and transport services in the region.

Majhi highlighted that these train services will provide critical links between several districts of Odisha with major hubs in Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand, boosting local economies and facilitating travel and tourism. Enhanced features of the trains, such as better seating and safety, underscore efforts to elevate passenger experience.
