In a promising indication of the automotive industry's resurgence, domestic passenger vehicle dispatches from companies to dealers increased by 10.6% year-on-year, reaching 4,17,705 units in February, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) announced on Friday.

This upswing marks a considerable improvement from the 3,77,689 units dispatched in February 2025. Two-wheeler sales saw a noteworthy rise as well, climbing 35.2% to 18,71,406 units compared to the 13,84,605 units sold in the same month last year, according to SIAM's statement.

The three-wheeler segment also exhibited positive trends, with dispatches up 29% last month at 74,573 units versus 57,788 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. These figures underscore a robust recovery and increased consumer confidence within the sector.
