The Department of Posts has unveiled three premium delivery services that guarantee fast delivery times of 24 and 48 hours. This ambitious move is part of the department's strategy to reinvent itself amidst competition from courier services promising prompt deliveries.

These new services—24 Speed Post, 24 Speed Post Parcel, and 48 Speed Post—will be available in six major cities, with full nationwide availability expected by March 2027. Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia expressed optimism, noting that revenue grew by 20% in 11 months of FY26, indicating fertile ground for further growth.
