In a significant move for Andhra Pradesh's infrastructure, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sanctioning the transfer of almost 400 acres of salt land. This land, now in the hands of the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board, will be pivotal in developing Mulapeta Port.

The transfer of approximately 385.24 acres from Naupada Salt Factory has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Mulapeta Port, located in Srikakulam district, is poised to become a major hub, potentially serving neighboring districts and enhancing transportation efficiency.

With its natural deep draft and proximity to transport links, the port promises connectivity benefits. The project aligns with Naidu's vision of ports as engines of prosperity, aiming to contribute significantly to a 'Viksit Bharat' or Developed India.
