Karnataka Pushes for Swift Approval on Major Irrigation and Aviation Projects

The Karnataka government is actively pursuing early approvals for irrigation projects totaling Rs 3,052 crore under the Central government's flagship schemes. State Minister N S Boseraju announced positive feedback from the union government as the proposals await clearance from the Water Resource Ministry.
In a statement following meetings in New Delhi, Boseraju emphasized that the state has committed to its 40% budgetary share, seeking the remaining 60% from the Centre. The minister expressed optimism about expediting these projects through encouraging discussions with the union minister.
Furthermore, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, alongside Boseraju, engaged with Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu to discuss key aviation initiatives. These include airport development at Raichur and resuming flights to Kalaburagi under the UDAN scheme, aiming to stimulate economic growth in the Kalyana Karnataka region.
