Bengaluru LPG Crisis: A Call for Urgent Intervention

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has appealed to the central government to address a severe shortage of commercial LPG in Bengaluru, affecting the hospitality sector and public. Amid a growing crisis in Bengaluru, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has urged the central government to resolve a severe shortage of commercial LPG that is disrupting the hospitality sector.

In a letter to Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Siddaramaiah expressed concern over the critical gap between supply and demand. While the demand stands at 50,000 cylinders, only 1,000 are being supplied daily, forcing establishments to shut down.

The Chief Minister stressed the need for an integrated monitoring system for commercial LPG, urging swift intervention to meet operational requirements and ensure adequate allocation.
