Bengaluru Cracks Down on Drunken Driving and Over-speeding
The Bengaluru Traffic Police conducted a week-long special drive against drunken driving and over-speeding, resulting in 634 cases and Rs 1.29 lakh in fines. Over 45,000 vehicles were checked during the operation. The initiative aims to enhance road safety and will continue further.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police has intensified efforts to promote road safety, registering 634 cases of drunken driving during a dedicated week-long campaign.
From March 16 to 22, officers from 53 traffic police stations actively participated in this initiative to address the issue of driving under the influence and over-speeding.
In the crackdown, Rs 1.29 lakh in fines was collected from over-speeding incidents, alongside extensive vehicle checks, highlighting the police's commitment to safer roads in Bengaluru.
