IndiGo has announced adjustments in its fuel surcharge as the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) experiences a partial hike. This shift in pricing comes amidst increasing fuel costs linked to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
In a recent statement, IndiGo expressed gratitude towards the government's approach to implementing only a partial and staggered increase of 25 percent in fuel prices. This decision, made by PSU oil marketing companies in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, aims to mitigate the impact on domestic air travel expenses.
The airline acknowledged the role of the Civil Aviation Ministry in materially cushioning the domestic market from the substantial global ATF price hikes, ensuring air travel remains more affordable for passengers.
