Traffic Rerouted on Barabanki-Bahraich Route Due to Sanjay Setu Repairs

Repair work on the Sanjay Setu over the Ghaghra River has led to the diversion of heavy vehicles from the Barabanki-Bahraich route. Light vehicles are redirected via a pontoon bridge, while heavy vehicles take an alternative route. Emergency services remain unaffected, and traffic flow has improved for residents.

In a significant move, traffic on the Barabanki-Bahraich route has been redirected due to repair work on the Sanjay Setu over the Ghaghra River. Authorities have restricted heavy vehicles but exempted emergency services such as ambulances.

Police Superintendent Arpit Vijayvargiya announced that the restrictions would be effective from April 16 for two months, with heavy vehicles prohibited on National Highway-927. An alternative route through Sitapur and Ayodhya has been established for heavy vehicles.

Light vehicles can cross via a newly operational pontoon bridge over the river, a change that officials note has eased longstanding commuting issues. Traffic personnel are deployed in key areas to ensure smooth flow, benefiting local residents.
