UP: Dozen injured as bus overturns on Purvanchal Expressway
Approximately a dozen passengers were injured when a private bus overturned on the Purvanchal Expressway here on Tuesday morning, police said. District Magistrate Inderjit Singh and Superintendent of Police Charu Nigam visited the medical college to inquire about the condition of the injured.

Approximately a dozen passengers were injured when a private bus overturned on the Purvanchal Expressway here on Tuesday morning, police said. The incident occurred around 6 am when a private double-decker bus travelling from Ludhiana to Azamgarh overturned at the 108-km mark of the expressway in the Baldirai police station area, they said. Police reached the spot upon receiving information from the district authorities, and about a dozen passengers were found injured, officials said. The injured were taken to the Kurebhar Community Health Centre for treatment. A five-year-old girl, who sustained critical injuries, along with 12 others, was referred to the Medical College in Sultanpur. District Magistrate Inderjit Singh and Superintendent of Police Charu Nigam visited the medical college to inquire about the condition of the injured. Arrangements were made for a roadways bus to transport the remaining passengers to their destinations, and refreshments were provided, Singh said.
