AMNS India Launches Game-Changing Steel Production Line in Hazira
AMNS India inaugurated a new production line in Hazira for advanced high strength steel (AHSS) to support the automotive industry. The 2 million tonne capacity line, part of a Rs 60,000 crore project, aims at making India self-reliant in AHSS production and enhancing supply chain resilience.
AMNS India has unveiled a new production line dedicated to advanced high strength steel (AHSS) manufacturing at its Hazira plant in Gujarat. This development is designed to meet the automotive sector's increasing demand for high-quality steel.
The new facility, created as part of an ambitious Rs 60,000 crore expansion plan, boasts a capacity of 2 million tonnes per year. This initiative positions India to become self-sufficient in AHSS production, a crucial component for the automotive industry.
The plant's inauguration was attended by Keiichi Ono, Japanese Ambassador to India. In remarks, AMNS India's CEO Dilip Oommen emphasized the line's role in import substitution and enhancing supply chain resilience, reflecting global standards in automotive steel manufacturing.
