The Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express launched recently amid heightened security measures. Spearheaded by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, this service promises a five-hour travel time between key regions, featuring round-the-clock surveillance by RPF commandos.
Pankaj Gangwar, principal chief security commissioner, emphasized the extensive safety protocols in place, including a 'one plus twenty' guard system and pilot vehicles operating ahead of the train for security purposes.
The initiative follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of connecting the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country, marking a significant step in enhancing regional mobility and socio-economic integration.
