A daring heist unfolded in Havanur when unidentified miscreants broke into a jewellery shop near 8th Mile and made off with roughly 70 kg of silver articles valued in the crores. The incident unfolded on April 28, with police revealing details on Friday.

The intruders allegedly accessed the shop through the rear by breaking the lock and drilling a hole in the wall. The break-in was discovered by staff at around 7 am, who noticed extensive damage and alerted the authorities. While valuables in the locker remained secure, most silver items from the cupboards were stolen.

Investigators are analyzing footage from nearby CCTV cameras as the ones inside the shop were not operational. Additionally, the Digital Video Recorder from an adjacent shop was taken. The police suspect a professional gang and continue their investigation into this high-profile heist.
