Haryana's drive to explore business prospects in Tanzania is opening new doors for economic cooperation. In a structured effort, facilitated by both state and central authorities, Haryana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for one lakh acres of farmland in Tanzania, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced.

Entrepreneurs, such as Somveer Ghasola from Dadri, are already leveraging the benefits of this initiative. Ghasola owns land suitable for diverse crops like rice and sugarcane, alongside a mining business near Dodoma. Echoing similar sentiments, Shiv Kumar Kamboj from Yamunanagar has taken over a factory in Tanzania, producing core veneer.

Haryana Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh emphasized that the state seeks to strengthen its global identity by fostering trade ties with nations across Africa, including Tanzania. A Haryana delegation is scheduled to participate in the upcoming 50th Dar-es-Salaam International Trade Fair to further investment and cooperation.
