Tragedy Strikes: Couple Killed in Hamirpur Gorge Plunge
A tragic road accident occurred in Hamirpur district, Himachal Pradesh, where a car veered off the road and fell into a gorge, killing two and injuring two others. A tragic incident unfolded in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur district when a car plunged 150 feet into a gorge, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries. The accident occurred on a link road between Kheri and Dhabriyana.
The victims, Ramesh Chand and his wife Santosh Kumari, were traveling alongside Prithvi Chand and Saroj Kumari to attend a family ceremony. Ramesh died instantly, while his wife passed away at the hospital. Prithvi, who was driving, lost control near a water tank, leading to the tragedy.
Local villagers rushed to the scene to help, soon joined by police and district administration teams. The injured were rescued and taken to the hospital, with Saroj transferred to a district facility due to the severity of her injuries. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the crash.
