This multimodal system processes over 700 million images and numerous reviews, enabling travelers to make more informed decisions efficiently.
In a pioneering move, digital travel platform Agoda has unveiled an innovative feature that seamlessly integrates hotel images with corresponding reviews, powered by an advanced AI-driven multimodal content system. This development aims to make travel planning more intuitive by connecting visual content with relevant guest feedback.
Previously, users needed to navigate separate sections for images and reviews to verify specific hotel features. Agoda's latest enhancement addresses this by aligning review snippets alongside images, offering a comprehensive view in one place. The system processes a vast repository of over 700 million images and countless reviews in more than 40 languages. Using a topic-based methodology, it maps images and reviews to common attributes, such as breakfast, pool, or location, showcasing guest comments and sentiment scores instantaneously.
Idan Zalzberg, Agoda's CTO, highlighted the significant impact of this integration, noting how it simplifies the decision-making process for travelers by providing insights and visuals together. This feature spans the entire Agoda property inventory, presenting curated images and the most pertinent review snippets for up to 15 images per topic, alongside sentiment analysis.
