Maharashtra's Fisheries and Ports Minister, Nitesh Rane, urged officials on Wednesday to fast-track initiatives aimed at bolstering exports of agricultural and marine products via Jaigad Port.
Highlighting the port's crucial role in the Konkan region's access to global markets, Rane cited the necessity for enhanced infrastructure, including cold chain systems and logistics services, to ensure a smooth export process.
The minister stressed coordinated cross-departmental efforts and raised awareness among local farmers and fishing communities to improve efficiency, ultimately driving economic growth and improving livelihoods in the state, as per a press release.
