Two killed, one injured as motorcycle collides with autorickshaw in Gujarat

Two persons were killed and another sustained injuries after a speeding sports motorcycle collided with an autorickshaw in Gujarats Patan district, police said on Sunday. He said the duo died during treatment at a local hospital, and Kalpesh Thakor, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle, suffered injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Patan.

Two persons were killed and another sustained injuries after a speeding sports motorcycle collided with an autorickshaw in Gujarat's Patan district, police said on Sunday. The crash occurred on the Shankheshwar-Dashada Road around 11 pm on Saturday, an official said. The motorcycle collided with an autorickshaw, fatally injuring the rider, Ranjit Thakor, and Kalubhai Thakor, who was driving the three-wheeler, he said, quoting the first information report (FIR). He said the duo died during treatment at a local hospital, and Kalpesh Thakor, who was riding pillion on the motorcycle, suffered injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Patan. Kalpesh and Ranjit were on their way to a wedding when the accident occurred, the official said, adding that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and Motor Vehicles Act.
