Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) has announced a strategic partnership with Oceaneering International Inc. to pursue specialized offshore and subsea opportunities across Europe. This collaboration signifies a major advancement in APSEZ's ambition to widen its reach into ultra-deepwater operations and international offshore markets.

Part of this significant infrastructure push includes the acquisition of Astro Atlas, a sophisticated ultra-deepwater vessel by Astro Offshore, a key player in APSEZ's marine platform. This move aligns with their strategy to accumulate high-specification vessels designed for complex offshore operations. Ashwani Gupta, APSEZ CEO, noted the partnership exemplifies their goal of building a diversified marine service network.

Mark Humphreys, CEO of Astro Offshore, highlighted that the Astro Atlas, their most capable vessel, drastically enhances their operational prowess, especially in challenging ultra-deepwater terrains. The new vessel, equipped with advanced technology, such as a DP2 system and subsea active heave compensated crane, is set to recalibrate their operational landscape, supporting critical infrastructure projects like subsea construction and pipeline installations.
