On Friday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) voiced its concern over the recent escalation in petrol and diesel prices, attributing economic strain on common citizens to these hikes.

AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj highlighted the additional burden on households due to the Rs 3 per litre increase, the first in over four years, amid global crude oil price hikes.

In response, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor pointed to international crude oil trends as influencers of local fuel prices and emphasized that despite increases, Indian rates remain competitive compared to international counterparts.
