Delhi Leaders Champion Public Transport with 'Mera Bharat Mera Yogdan' Campaign

Under the 'Mera Bharat Mera Yogdan' campaign, Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her cabinet used the metro to promote fuel savings and reduce pollution and traffic. The initiative is part of a broader effort that includes work-from-home policies and no-car days, striving for sustainable urban living.

In a bid to promote fuel conservation, the 'Mera Bharat Mera Yogdan' campaign saw Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her cabinet opt for the metro during their Monday commute. This initiative aims to encourage sustainable urban practices amid regional uncertainties.

Alongside Minister Gupta were Social Welfare Minister Ravindra Singh Indraj and other cabinet members, all of whom emphasized the importance of public transport. By taking the metro from Kashmere Gate to ITO station, the officials underscored efforts to combat pollution and traffic congestion in the capital.

The campaign encourages residents to embrace public transport and includes other measures, such as work-from-home, no-car days, virtual meetings, and limiting official vehicle use to help conserve petroleum resources.
