Export of Nepali tea to India resumes
The export of Nepalese tea was affected due to the new provision for some time.However, the issue has been sorted through diplomatic efforts, he said.With the coordination by Nepalese Embassy in Delhi and the foreign ministry the India side reviewed the directives that eased the obstruction.
Nepalese traders will now be able to resume tea exports to India without any hindrance.
''The obstacle in exporting Nepalese tea to India has been removed through diplomatic initiatives,'' Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lok Bahadur Chhetri told PTI.
There was some problem in exporting tea produced in Nepal to India due to the new directives issued by Indian Tea Board. The export of Nepalese tea was affected due to the new provision for some time.
However, the issue has been sorted through diplomatic efforts, he said.
With the coordination by Nepalese Embassy in Delhi and the foreign ministry the India side reviewed the directives that eased the obstruction. Now Nepalese tea can be exported to India without any problem, he added.
