India Poised for Breakthrough in Critical Minerals: A Year of Transformative Progress Ahead
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy announces India's imminent advancements in the critical minerals sector. The government's comprehensive roadmap includes strategic partnerships, auctions, and intensified exploration. India is setting up critical mineral processing plants and strengthening ties with the US to enhance resource security and boost sectors like electronics and renewable energy.
In a major announcement, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, revealed that India is on the verge of achieving groundbreaking progress in the critical minerals sector within the next year.
Speaking to ANI during a roadshow on surface coal and lignite gasification, Reddy emphasized a strategic, government-wide approach to expedite India's journey towards resource security. He underscored the anticipated outcomes from the National Critical Mineral Mission over the coming months.
The minister detailed the Center's initiatives, highlighting the successful auction of critical mineral blocks for the first time since Independence and the signing of international agreements, including one with the United States. Focus areas include rare earth elements vital for electronics and renewable energy sectors.
