India Slashes Export Duties on Fuel: A Strategic Move

India has announced a reduction in export duties for petrol, diesel, and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) effective from June 1. The export duty on petrol is set at 1.5 rupees per litre, diesel at 13.5 rupees, and ATF at 9.5 rupees per litre. These rates will be reviewed fortnightly based on international crude prices.

No changes have been made to the existing excise duties on petrol and diesel used domestically. This adjustment reflects India's strategic pricing in response to fluctuating oil markets.
