Wall ​Street's ​main indexes ‌opened lower on ​Tuesday after hitting a ‌series of record highs, while blowout results from Hewlett Packard ‌Enterprise and a funding commitment ‌from Alphabet underscored investor confidence in the AI buildout.

The Dow ⁠Jones ​Industrial ⁠Average fell 166.0 points, or 0.33%, ⁠at the open to ​50,912.84. The S&P 500 fell ⁠4.6 points, or 0.06%, at ⁠the ​open to 7,595.4, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped ⁠56.7 points, or 0.21%, to ⁠27,030.072 at ⁠the opening bell.
